Lagrange does not do HTTP requests. The closest thing is setting up an HTTP proxy, but that's basically a Gemini server, too.

As long as the received content is Gemtext, you can view it in the app.

I have no immediate plans to add more protocols. If something interesting and appropriately "smol" pops up, it's possible I could work on adding support, but the threshold is pretty high.

I had managed to make a old version of Firefox to accept gemtext from any protocol (including local files and Gempub), although this might not work with the latest version of Firefox (I had not tried it, though). Some multi-protocol clients might support Gemini and HTTP(S) too, although Lagrange doesn't, as explained above.
