Have somebody tried social interaction over anonymous FTP?

it's funny to explore text notes, video and audio files in folders..

username/password is just an option, but really interesting to use it as the guest.

I imagine a service like that would be very difficult to operate. The site owner would have to put in a lot of effort to prevent bandwidth abuse or illegal content uploads.

There was a subreddit where people posted urls of open directories they found. A good way to kill time and download obscure crap.
