I have one abandoned idea to make video player for pocket book

yes, for e-ink screen. it would be not exactly video, but maybe some alternative kind of media:

b/w scenes slideshow with audio background.

My reader works with BMP format only, not sure it's about something really small. Doubts about power safe issues only. Who knows, maybe write this client once, it would require some PC converter, and maybe some new media format (for this trivial, in first view, idea)

Reminds me of the film strips I watched in class as a youth. There was a cassette tape going and a strip of about 25 to 30 stills projected. An audio beep was the signal for the next frame (and also kept you from falling asleep the second the lights went out.)
