Anybody else write a bunch of software code, take a break for a few months, and then come back and ask yourself "When the hell did I implement that?!?" lol.

I feel like this happens constantly with me. I forgot I implemented a whole new configuration format for my gemini server. It was something I was dreading and turns out I already basically finished it months ago!

@mrrobinhood5 I also experimence moment where I hate my code's structure, and sometimes I rewrite it. I do quite a bit of rewriting usually. But I don't take much stock in the general looks of the code (whether it's "pretty" or "clean"), only whether it works and whether I can follow the structure and the structure makes some sort of sense. If I can't find a function then I know I messed up, lol.

What kind of insane person wrote this... oh it was me ๐Ÿ˜‚

That's been my case for decades. It has also taught me to be a lot better about documenting the "why" in my code knowing I'll completely forget before I get back.
