wefwef.app has made the whole Lemmy experience infinitely better, sorry jebora but you jank as hell. its kind of weird that gemini community hasn't had any activity on Lemmy but I guess between station and now bubble we don't need no fediverse no mo'. Hmm maybe one day we will have a gemifediverse ;) actually now that I think about it, is a majority of gemini space already psudo-federated since most of us communicate together through aggregators? đ¤

wefwef really is a Sweet Solution, very impressively close to a native UI. I have a feeling that an actual native app would be easier on the battery, though...

@skyjake yes totally agree on the native app part. Hopefully one day!

I've been skimming the Lemmy waters just a little bit. What makes wefwef.app good?

as far as 3rd party Lemmy browsers go they're kind of meh UI wise and have poor performance at least on Lemmy.world. for example on jebora when I tried backspacing it would for whatever reason delete the space between words which was annoying. lots of network errors. post would spam 3 times. With wefwef none of that, and its UI is very iOS/apollo like which is important for many. never been a fan of apple but will admit that their ui design philosophy is top notch on mobile devices. also works on desktop too. only complaint is that its a web app but that has pros and cons so far pros outweigh it.

interesting.
I came to Gemini via the Gemini sublemmy in the main instance. as you said I haven't been on there much because I haven't needed to. the posts here are better IMO. may have to check this app out though.

I found Reddit pretty unreadable so making something unreadable "federated" won't change the problem.
I understood the marketers do not have any strategy that adding buzzwords: smart, cloud, AI, and now federated?
I like this enthusiasm I but I won't buy anything with such chap strategy...

Was Lemmy the one with the tankie problem?
