maemo-leste is a community driven mainline linux devuan based modern operating system for mobile devices which uses hildon desktop and has a look and feel of old good maemo fremantle which only worked on n900.

maemo leste however works on many devices, including motorola droid4, pinephone, etc.

need to package or revive librewolf oric emulator, and one game (pulsoids, i guess its license will permit) maybe as a separate package? snake game written by my friend in oberon and raylib there was a pebble support, good to revive it need to port one of the existing back then flickr apps to modern qt and revive would be also good to revive mappero. i loved it no fremantle. the most amazing thing would be to be able to port fcamera n900 driver replacement for nokia driver to modern mainline...

maemo on pinephone — i was using maemo mostly on droid4. and on pinephone i was mostly using postmarketos with sxmo. i don't use the postmarketos suspend function, which can save battery life. if the phone suspends, then it can be waken up only by incoming sms or call. but i have no sim card, and even disabled the modem before turning the device up for the first time. now for several days i run maemo on it, and i enjoy it so much. first of all, the battery life got much much better. i...

so i run maemo-leste on 2 devices: motorola droid4 and pinephone. i actually used motorola droid4 with maemo as my main ievice since january 2023 till about september, and i still use it every day. it is very nice to have a portable devuan with mobile friendly ui: hildon. it is very convenient to type with hardware keyboard. i type in lagrange and dino, most of the times.
