Afternoon Tea 🫖

If a cup of tea on the kitchen table and a plate of biscuits next to it is your concept of relaxed evening then you are the right place. What makes the afternoon tea even better is when the golden sun rays come in through the window and mix with the steam rising from the cup. The aroma of the tea mixed with ginger snap biscuits creates relaxed environment. It is the time not to think about any of the responsibilities, the unending ToDo lists or the dreaded due dates. It is the time to be present at that moment and just be there with my cup of tea. Each sip of tea brings more peace and slowly melts away my anxiety. As half the cup is vanishing I realize that my shoulders are no longer in their attentive position and, sometimes I find myself humming some old tune that naturally has floated to the top of the consciousness. The satisfying bite of a biscuit and its sweetness lingers and gets mixed with the next sip of tea, sometimes makes me wonder, is this what true happiness feels like ? 🫖

I pour myself another cup, and try to re-experience it all once more till the Sun sets and I get up still humming something unintentionally and start making dinner.
