Nice! It sound suprisingly good considering the bitrate.
Another low bitrate codec that i got facinate with was codec 2. It has a very different target audience, it is made for voice only and it is resistant to bit loss aka. it is for HAMs. It sound nowhere as nice as this one, it uses a sample rate of 8kSamples and sounds like a bad digital telephone connection.
I made a quick compression test to refresh my memory of codec 2 here are the input file and the results for 3200bps and 700bps:
