2021/0919/1500 — bayside

With the relaxation of the lockdown limits I can finally go more than 5km from home, and for a longer period. This afternoon I headed out in a strong WNW wind for a two hour ride, down south to the bay then up and around almost to St Kilda before heading back inland and home. The strong wind meant I heard and saw almost nothing, it was only along a stretch from Brighton baths to the kiosk at North road that I found myself following a tern of some sort, almost completely end on, as it ducked and swooped in the wind heading north along the water's edge. Surprising that that was the only seabird I can recall seeing, but at least it was a change from my normal routine
