Smart and Gets Things Done

I was recently reading Dan Luu's "Hardware is unforgiving", which links to one of those Joel Spolsky's posts that I remember, called "The Guerrilla Guide to Interviewing".

The gist of it is that companies should hire software developers that a) are smart, and b) get things done. Around the time that post came out, I remember reading someone that added a third requisite: c) don't be a jerk. I cannot find that link right now.

I've been told I'm the first; I know I'm not the second. And I try, every day, to get better at it; to do things to focus (GTD, vitamin supplements, etc). Hopefully, I can soon find something that works.
