2014-12-23 Emacs Wiki Migration
(Continued from yesterday.)
=> yesterday
Current status:
- Nic Ferrier set up a dedicated machine with nginx to act as a cache for emacswiki.org
- I’ve switched emacswiki.org to read-only for the moment (since you can only reach the front page anyway)
- I’ve pointed emacswiki.org to Nic’s machine instead of mine—as soon as this change reaches you, you should be using Nic’s cache
- Tomorrow, I’ll remove emergency URL rewrite which redirects all wiki requests except for the main page to http://emacswiki.org/load.html
=> Nic Ferrier | http://emacswiki.org/load.html
Ideally, this would mean that we’ll see a read-only copy of emacswiki.org back up, soon. Once Nic and I figure out how to handle the cookie and the ETag stuff for Emacs Wiki, we can make the wiki editable again.
