2010-02-27 One More Day For 1PDC

There are a bit more than 24h left for the last submission to the One Page Dungeon Contest 2010. Other people manage to write entire roleplaying games in 24h. If haven’t submitted an entry, there’s still time! 😄 👌

What’s a One Page Dungeon you ask?

  1. I will print entries on my printer (which uses A4 paper and leaves some margin), scale to fit, and if I can’t read it, then it’s not One Page.

  1. Traditionally, a Dungeon is the map of a connected series of rooms full of monsters, traps, and treasure. Then people proposed random dungeon generators. These had no map, but instructions on how to create a map. Then people started saying that a wilderness, a village, or a big building could also be treated as a dungeon. I don’t think we’ll agree on a single definition of dungeon in the roleplaying context. Thus, in the spirit of “I know it when I see it” we’ll leave the decision up to the judges.

Looking for ideas? Take a look at last year’s entries! There’s a nice looking “Codex” file with all the winning entries, runner ups and honorable mentions in it, and there’s a big “Compendium” with absolutely all entries in it.

It’s cool. You should print them and keep them in a ring binder for ready use. It’s what I do! :D
