2007-09-07 Web Comics are a Waste of Time

Indeed, they are a waste of time. About as wastefull as InternetRelayChat. One of them stood out: DM of the Rings. The guy, Shamus Young, also has a pretty interesting blog. He writes about games that everybody played a few years ago; he writes about DRM. It’s fun. I like it.

DM of the Rings was a web comic that worked with still images from The Lord of the Rings (2001). It was awesome. But there is only so much material in the movies. And he has run out of material. This is a comic with an actual beginning and an end. Interesting. 😄

The comic is dead, long live the comic. Shamus has started a new comic! Chainmail Bikini – and hosted by Fear the Boot, a roleplaying podcast I listen to. Yay!
