every time google (market cap: $1.7 trillion) gives me an obviously wrong answer when I search something. You may not encounter the same results. a lot of these are technology based.
flat-out wrong
- "how many seconds have elapsed since 1970" -> gives you the unix time, which does not answer this question (it is off by 27 seconds)
- "iso 4217 bitcoin" -> "The ISO 4217 currency code for Bitcoin is XBT." This is incorrect, bitcoin is not a standardized ISO 4217 code. You can do the same for other cryptocurrencies
- "where does sam altman work?" -> Header says "Y Combinator" (he no longer works there)
- googling how to determine the median of a list -> returned instructions on how to determine the mean of a list
- "when was email invented" -> repeats a claim by someone who has made the laughably easily disprovable claim that he invented email for decades
wrong bolding
- "is utf16 endian?" -> bolds "the byte order of the UTF-16 encoding scheme is big-endian", not highlighting context about the BOM mark
- "is gemini protocol standardized" -> bolds "mature, standardised technology", which refers to the standards it is built on, not Gemini itself
