Gnu direvent

So, I was reading gnu.announce a while back and took down a note when I came across the release of a new version of Gnu Direvent(8). I had never heard of this bit of software before.

It monitors a directory for a specified event (you created a file, wrote to a file, etc.) and executes a specified command. Now this is just perfect for automatic phlog posting. So many possibilities!
